Job summary

White Cap Supply Holdings, LLC is hiring immediately for an Account Manager – Accelerated Sales Program in Portland, ME. The program is a 6–12 month, sales-focused training track designed to fast-track growth into outside sales leadership.

Participants will work with White Cap sales leaders to develop skills, customer/vendor relationships, and knowledge of our business model, products, and pricing strategies, including on-the-job field experience and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field or one to two years of sales or related field experience.
• Strong communication skills and comfortable interacting with team members
• Requires strong self-governance, a proactive approach, personal accountability, and independence.
• Competitive nature with a drive to succeed
• Goal-oriented with personal accountability to deliver on metrics
• Open to feedback and willing to take action to improve performance
• Demonstrated ability to plan and organize daily activities
• Spanish language proficiency

Responsibilities

• Participates in classroom, independent study, and on-the-job training to learn the White Cap’s business model, products, vendors, customer needs, jobsite environment, systems, competitors, pricing, sales approach, and selling skills.
• Prepares and executes account plans.
• Sells White Cap value proposition and products.
• Learns about making effective jobsite or office sales calls by riding along with the District Sales Manager or experienced Account Managers.
• Enters and processes customer orders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• This position requires operation of a company vehicle or a personal vehicle and such operation is done consistently more than 80% of the average work week.
