Job summary

SESC0 Lighting, Inc. is seeking an Outside Contractor | Distributor Sales professional to develop and maintain sales and strong relationships with Contractors, Distributors, and other clients. You will collaborate with all departments to ensure orders are followed through and customer needs are met.

A successful Sales Rep will call on electricians and designers, meet sales goals with 3–5 calls per day, and work with management and partners to become an expert in lighting products.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of outside lighting sales experience.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage orders and support project quotations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Call on Contractors, Distributors, and design professionals to develop long-term accounts.
• Meet or exceed sales goals with 3–5 new calls per day.
• Maintain profitability by managing sales goals and expenses.
• Develop rapport and assess customers' lighting needs.
• Coordinate with management and partners on product training.
• Handle order entry, returns, pricing on replacements, and project management aspects.
• Close and service orders and multi-task effectively.
• Possess social skills and drive to obtain orders.

Job description

The Opportunity:The primary responsibility of the Outside Contractor | Distributor Sales position is to develop and maintain sales as well as a good working relationship with Contractors, Distributors, and other clients while working with all departments to facilitate follow-through on orders.

A successful Sales Rep will:

• Call on customers to include Electrical and General Contractors, Interior Architects, Designers, and assigned Distributors to develop long-term accounts through expert service
• Meet or exceed established sales goals, making at least 3-5 new sales calls per day
• Maintain profitability by meeting sales goals and managing expenses
• Develop quick rapport & quickly assess the customer's lighting needs
• Will work with Management and Manufacturing Partners on training to become an expert in all things lighting as well as other products available on the market today
• Understand all aspects of customer and sales service including but not limited to (order entry, returns, obtaining catalog numbers and pricing on replacement parts, some or all aspects of project management, etc.)
• Will have strong social skills, confidence, desire and ability to sell and most importantly, get the order
• Be passionate about working in team atmosphere and helping others
• Successfully complete all other duties assigned by Manager
• Possess 3 plus years' experience in outside lighting sales
• Be able to perform all duties to close and service orders
• Possess experience in project quotations and producing submittals
• Must be able to multi-task
• Must be computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and utilize internet search engines
