Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute (IBJI) is seeking a physical therapist for our outpatient rehab team. The role emphasizes collaborative care with physicians to optimize function and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Licensed or eligible to sit for boards in Illinois.
• Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills and adherence to documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional outpatient patient care.
• Interpret physician orders, perform initial evaluations and establish treatment plans and goals.
• Upgrade and amend treatment goals as necessary during the episode of care.
• Document patient status in charts per IBJI rehab guidelines.
• Determine discharge timeline and follow-up.
• Supervise Rehabilitation Technicians and staff as needed.
• Ensure compliant billing practices.
• Maintain active state license by earning CEUs through IBJI opportunities.
• Develop positive relationships with IBJI physician teams.
• Engage in IBJI programs such as mentoring and clinical education.
