Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Licensed or eligible to sit for boards in the state of Illinois.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds.
• Demonstrates good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing.
• Ability to stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutes.
• Ability to work on a computer for lengthy times during the day.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care.
• Interpret physician orders and perform initial evaluations; establish treatment plans and functional goals.
• Update and amend treatment goals as needed during the episode of care.
• Document patient status to physicians per compliance guidelines.
• Determine discharge timeline and appropriate follow-up.
• Supervise Rehabilitation Technicians and support staff as needed.
• Maintain billing compliance and timely documentation in patient charts.
• Maintain active state license through CEUs and IBJI-sponsored opportunities.
• Foster positive relationships with physician teams and participate in interdisciplinary rounds.
