Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to join our satellite lab network. You will draw blood, handle specimens, and log results for transport to the main lab, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience, proficiency with LIS, and the ability to adapt to rotating shifts. Comprehensive training and safety protocols are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience required; drug screen collection preferred.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification through the NHA preferred; may be required for specific locations based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Check-in patients at satellite lab.
• Process lab/office specimens for main lab transport.
• Perform and log Rapid Strep and Hemoccult tests in LIS.
• Notify physician of critical (positive) results.
• Train new staff on lab policies and procedures.
• Other duties as required.
