Job summary

Healogics is seeking a Patient Navigator to support front office functions in our outpatient wound care center. You will greet patients, schedule visits, collect insurance information, and enter charges to ensure smooth daily operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of medical front office experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 2+ years office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting; Prior medical coding experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with Center leadership to maximize daily patient census
• Greet patients and visitors, answer and route calls to appropriate staff
• Maintains patient communication needs including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders
• Obtains and verifies patient insurance information, including pre-certifications and pre-authorizations
• Collects and enters patient charges
• Verifies and reconciles charges, prepares monthly patient survey data
• Assembles new patient charts and maintains existing charts
• Coordinates/schedules ancillary testing with other hospital departments
• Arranges for patient transportation as needed
• Maintains office equipment and supplies
• Performs other duties as required
