Job summary

SimonMed Imaging is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to deliver screening and diagnostic mammography, including tomosynthesis, in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will ensure optimal positioning, compression, and image quality while adhering to MQSA/ACR guidelines and maintaining RIS/PACS documentation.

You will bring ARRT(R) and ARRT(M) credentials, a current state license, BLS, and MQSA CEUs, plus training records.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography (R) certification required.
• ARRT Mammography (M) advanced certification required.
• Valid state radiologic technologist license current.
• Current BLS certification.
• MQSA compliant—15 breast CEUs every 3 years.
• Initial mammography training documentation complete (25 signed-off exams).
• Tomosynthesis and digital training documentation current.
• 1+ year of mammography experience preferred.
• Proficiency in digital/tomosynthesis equipment, RIS, and PACS.
• Strong patient communication skills—especially in sensitive situations.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
• Willingness to mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography—including tomosynthesis—in full compliance with standards.
• Positioning is accurate, compression is optimal, and image quality is verified.
• Document using RIS and PACS with precise labeling; ensure QA and compliance.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine quality assurance in a busy outpatient setting.
• Mentor students rotating through the department and model professionalism.
• Collaborate with the team to uphold high clinical standards and patient care.
