Job summary

SimonMed is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography, including tomosynthesis, with a strong emphasis on image quality and patient comfort.

You will work in a fast-paced outpatient setting, upholding MQSA standards and collaborating with radiologists and staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. ARRT(R) and ARRT(M) certifications, state licensure, and BLS are required, with mentorship responsibilities possible.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required.
• ARRT advanced certification in Mammography (M) required.
• Valid state radiologic technologist license current (where applicable).
• Current BLS certification.
• MQSA compliant — 15 breast CEUs every 3 years maintained.
• Initial mammography training documentation complete (25 signed-off exams).
• Tomosynthesis and digital training documentation current.
• 1+ year of mammography experience preferred.
• Proficiency in digital/tomosynthesis equipment, RIS, and PACS.
• Strong patient communication skills — especially in sensitive situations.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently.
• Willingness to mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate screening and diagnostic mammography including tomosynthesis according to protocols.
• Ensure image quality; select exposure parameters; apply ALARA principles.
• Maintain ARRT certification and state license; complete required CEUs.
• Maintain QA and documentation; ensure RIS/PACS labeling.
• Manage patient comfort and communication during exams.
• Mentor students and support clinical staff.
