Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Linden, NJ seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP1 program. You will coordinate care, assess patients, plan interventions, and participate in education and quality improvement as part of the End Stage Kidney Disease team.

The role requires RN licensure, CPR/BLS, and nephrology nursing exposure. You’ll work under supervision with potential for CAP advancement and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under supervision and guidance.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis sessions; documents in the medical record.
• Educates patient and family on learning needs and treatment plan.
• Delivers safe hemodialysis therapy with staff collaboration.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
• Initiates or assists with emergency responses.
• Acts as a resource and trains new staff as assigned.
• Ensures proper lab collection, processing and timely rescheduling of specimens.
