Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Worcester is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP1 program. You will coordinate care, assess, plan, intervene and evaluate for an assigned patient group under supervision, joining the End Stage Kidney Disease care team.

This role emphasizes education, collaboration with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians, and contributing to quality improvement activities within the facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessment and data collection pre-, during-, and post-hemodialysis.
• Document patient data and adjust treatment plan as needed.
• Provide patient and family education and learning plans.
• Deliver safe and effective hemodialysis therapy with direct staff collaboration.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Initiate or assist with emergency response measures.
• Mentor and orient new staff as assigned.
• Ensure correct lab collection, processing and shipping procedures.
