Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in New Jersey is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse to join the Clinical Advancement Program CAP 1, providing and coordinating care for an assigned group of dialysis patients.

Under supervision, you will collect and analyze patient data, update care plans as needed, educate patients and families, administer medications, participate in emergency responses, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to improve outcomes. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years Nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties under supervision with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or RN team.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and updates the care plan accordingly.
• Educates patients and family about learning needs and care plans.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy with other staff.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
• Serves as a resource and participates in staff training.
• Ensures proper lab collection, processing and documentation.
