Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry‑level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program. The role provides and coordinates clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients.

You will collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians to support optimal patient outcomes. As a member of the End Stage Kidney Disease care team, you will participate in decision making, teaching, leadership and quality

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing duties under supervision and guidance.
• Analyzes patient data during dialysis and adjusts the care plan as needed.
• Educates patients and families on care and supports learning.
• Delivers safe hemodialysis therapy with collaboration from the health care team.
• Administers prescribed medications with documentation of effectiveness.
• Initiates emergency response measures as required.
• Supports staff training and orientation of new personnel.
• Ensures correct lab collection, processing and documentation of results.
• Documents nursing assessments and care plans for assigned patients.
