Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse (CAP 1) to join the End Stage Kidney Disease care team. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for dialysis patients and collaborate with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and patient care technicians.

This role emphasizes patient education, safe delivery of hemodialysis, medication administration, and participation in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience is preferred.
• Valid state RN license and CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes patient data during pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis; adjusts plans and documents in medical records.
• Educates patients and families on learning needs and care plans.
• Delivers safe, effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with the health care team.
• Administers medications as prescribed and follows approved protocols.
• Supports and trains Patient Care Technicians, LPNs/LVNs and other staff as assigned.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and CAP progression.
