Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Mississippi is seeking an entry-level RN to join the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) Outpatient RN CAP 1. As a member of the ESKD health care team, you will assess patients, plan their care, implement interventions, and coordinate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and technicians to ensure quality care during dialysis.

Under supervision, you will document assessments, adjust treatment plans, educate patients and families, and participate in team teaching and quality improvement

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet state practice requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and update care plans.
• Document data during hemodialysis and adjust treatment as needed.
• Educate patients and families on care plans.
• Oversee daily safe delivery of hemodialysis.
• Administer medications per protocol.
• Initiate emergency response measures.
• Serve as resource and assist with staff training.
• Ensure correct lab procedures and reschedule labs.
• Document outcomes with the care team.
• Discuss transplant and modality options with patients.
• Support CAP requirements to advance.
