Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 track to coordinate and deliver comprehensive dialysis care. You will assess patients, plan care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to improve outcomes in an outpatient setting.

As part of the Clinical Advancement Program, you will advance your CAP requirements, support education, and participate in quality initiatives while adhering to policy and standards of nursing practice.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current appropriate state licensure.
Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
Entry level RN with less than 2 years nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Performs data collection and analysis during dialysis and adjusts the treatment plan as needed in collaboration with the care team.
Provides initial and ongoing education to patients and family based on assessed learning needs.
Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy with direct and ancillary staff support.
Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and documents effectiveness.
Participates in staff training, orientation, and quality improvement activities.
