Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry‑level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 designation within the Clinical Advancement Program. You will coordinate and assess care for an assigned group of patients, collaborating with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians to deliver dialysis therapy.

The role emphasizes patient education, documentation, and adherence to policy and regulatory standards, with opportunities for growth through CAP requirements and leadership activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state of employment.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under supervision and guidance of the Supervisor/Clinical Educator.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and updates the care plan.
• Educates patients and family about learning needs and plan of care.
• Delivers safe nephrology care in collaboration with direct and ancillary staff.
• Administers medications as prescribed and documents outcomes.
• Initiates emergency response measures as needed.
• Participates in staff training and orientation of new staff.
