Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 cohort within the Clinical Advancement Program. The role provides and coordinates care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.

Under supervision, you will document data, educate patients and families, and collaborate with health care staff to ensure safe, effective delivery of dialysis therapy and continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential nursing functions under supervision and guidance of educator and team.
• Monitors data during hemodialysis and documents in medical record, adjusting plan as needed.
• Educates patients and families about care and treatment options.
• Delivers safe hemodialysis care with staff collaboration.
• Administers medications as prescribed and documents effectiveness.
• Participates in emergency responses and team training.
