Healogics, Inc. is seeking a Patient Navigator in Washington, DC to manage front office functions for an outpatient wound care center.

You will greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and handle patient charges, ensuring smooth operation and data integrity. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of medical office experience, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting; prior medical coding experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good customer, interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• Organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to type 60 words per minute (wpm).
• Basic math skills.
• Attention to details.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment and to work on multiple projects at the same time.
• Ability to work with others and in a team environment.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinates with Center leadership to maximize daily patient census.
• Greets patients and other visitors, answers and routes calls to appropriate staff.
• Maintains patient communication needs including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders.
• Obtains and verifies patient insurance information, including pre-certifications and pre-authorizations; enters data in databases.
• Collects and enters patient charges in databases; verifies and reconciles charges as directed.
• Prepares monthly patient survey data and transmits to providers.
• Assembles new patient charts and maintains existing patient charts; spot checks data and signatures.
• Coordinates/schedules ancillary testing with other hospital departments.
• Arranges patient transportation as needed.
• Maintains office equipment and supplies; manages medical supplies as directed.
• Performs other duties as required.
