Job summary

The Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown is seeking an Assistant Outlets Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our restaurant, Lobby Bar and In Room Dining teams. You will manage payroll, scheduling, sales targets and coaching to deliver exceptional guest service in a luxury setting.

Ideal candidates will have supervisory hotel restaurant experience, active ABRA license, ServSafe certification, and strong leadership with a focus on cost control, staff development and adherence to brand

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a hotel restaurant.
• Holds an active ABRA license.
• ServSafe Certified.
• Passion for guest service.
• Proven leadership skills, coaching and training abilities.
• Strong problem solving and decision making.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Product knowledge of culinary, wines and beverages.
• Degree/Diploma in Hotel or F&B Management an asset.
• Computer skills (Excel, MS Office and Micros).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of the outlets.
• Supervises Restaurant colleagues including the sales and costs of the day to day operation.
• Ensures service standards are in place per F&B standards manual.
• Establishes and maintains employee relations, staffing levels and productivity.
• Controls stock for daily use in Restaurant to meet service levels.
• Contribute to daily growth through awareness of VOG, LQA and ENGAGEMENT Survey.
• Deliver excellent service by maintaining morale and Service Essentials.
• Motivate, lead, coach and monitor team performance.
• Train and coach new and existing staff.
• Liaise between Kitchen, Lobby Lounge and floor.
• Participate in hotel's environmental program.
• MaintainHealth & Safety in the workplace.
• Assist in developing and implementing F&B promotions.
• Complete assigned projects as needed.
