Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Findlay, OH is seeking an experienced Line Clearance Trimmer with CDL and/or climbing experience to serve the Northwestern Ohio region, from Findlay to Bowling Green. The role involves pruning, removal, and line clearance for major utility providers, using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems.

You will work outdoors as part of a crew, maintain and operate tools such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. A valid driver's license is required; CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: CDL-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses/certificates as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Prune treetops and remove damaged limbs for utility providers.
• Remove broken limbs from lines, roofs and structures.
• Identify trees and apply pruning guidelines.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Work as part of a crew with ground personnel and foreperson.
