Job summary

Davey Tree Expert Co is hiring an Experienced Line Clearance Trimmer in Ohio (Cambridge area) to prune and remove trees for utility providers. Climbing experience with DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS options, CDL preferred, valid driver’s license required, and willingness to work in county regions including Cambridge, Dover and New Philadelphia.

You’ll operate chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and support ground crew.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• Preferred: relevant pesticide licenses and certificates, if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb Trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Perform pruning and removal work for major electric utilities.
• Prune treetops and remove damaged trees or limbs.
• Remove broken limbs from lines, roofs, and structures.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and pruning guidelines.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, lifts).
• Work as part of a crew with ground staff and foreman.
