Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking an Outside Sales Rep to drive decking product sales and build relationships with builders and subcontractors across residential and commercial markets. You will visit job sites, prepare estimates, and manage client relationships to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of selling decking products (wood, composite, PVC) and outdoor living items.
• Ability to cold call and grow relationships with customers.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform take-offs with knowledge of local codes.
• Proven ability to increase sales and profitability.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with customers and subcontractors to assess needs and provide services.
• Attain and maintain sales of outdoor living products focused on decking.
• Present product features and benefits to builders.
• Do take-offs and prepare estimates for products and ensure timely ordering and shipping.
