Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Rep to drive sales of decking products and related outdoor living items to builders and subcontractors on residential and commercial projects. You will manage client relationships, present product features, and prepare estimates from take-offs.

Two years of decking sales experience and the ability to read blueprints are required, along with strong communication and customer-service focus. Travel and a valid license are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years selling decking products (wood, composite, PVC).
• Ability to read blueprints and perform take-offs with local codes knowledge.
• Proven track record in increasing sales and profitability.
• Excellent communication and customer service ethos.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with customers and subcontractors to determine needs.
• Attain and maintain sales of all products with a focus on outdoor living and decking.
• Gives presentations to builders and explains product features and benefits.
• Do take-offs and prepare estimates; ensure orders are accurate and timely.
