Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Outbound Specialist in Houston to drive the origin side of ground shipments from booking through departure. You will build files in the TMS, input costs and revenues, generate BOLs, and coordinate pickup appointments with carriers and internal teams.

The role requires meticulous data accuracy, strong communication, and the ability to manage many shipments simultaneously while ensuring milestones and documentation are completed before release.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation operations or logistics coordination.
• Proficient with a Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to coordinate across carriers, warehouses and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage origin side of ground shipments from booking to departure.
• Build and maintain shipment files in the TMS throughout lifecycle.
• Enter cost and revenue information and generate bills of lading.
• Coordinate pickup appointments and carrier communications.
• Maintain real-time shipment visibility across systems.
• Audit shipping documentation and correct discrepancies before release.
• Handle multiple active shipments and resolve exceptions quickly.
