Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Inbound Specialist to manage ground shipments from origin through delivery and file closeout. You will monitor shipments, coordinate with carriers and receiving warehouses, and maintain up-to-date milestones in the TMS.

The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to juggle multiple shipments, and clear communication with drivers and operations teams. Knowledge of PODs, ETAs, and cost reconciliation is essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in transportation operations or a similar freight role.
• Experience using a TMS to track shipments and closeouts.
• Knowledge of FTL/LTL/intermodal and delivery appointments.
• Strong attention to detail for PODs, costs, and billing discrepancies.
• Excellent communication with carriers and internal teams.
• Familiarity with real-time visibility platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the destination side of ground shipments from origin through confirmed delivery and file closeout.
• Monitor shipments in transit and maintain accurate ETAs.
• Coordinate with carriers and receiving warehouses; ensure milestones are current in TMS.
• Audit PODs and reconcile transportation costs and revenue; ensure documentation is uploaded.
• Resolve discrepancies and support billing with complete, accurate files.
