NAPA Auto Parts in Williamsville, NY is seeking an Outbound Operations Supervisor to lead the outbound shipping team, design efficient processes, and ensure safe, timely loading and handling of freight. This role reports to the Outbound Operations Manager and emphasizes engagement, empowerment, and problem-solving across the team.

The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, solid distribution center experience, and a track record of driving operational excellence while adhering to safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years' experience in a distribution center or similar environment.
• Ability to follow safety requirements for DC operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to develop cooperative working relationships.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and use good judgment.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs and operating forklift/pallet jack certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and implement efficient outbound operations and instruct staff on procedures.
• Design and maintain organized truck yard operations and ensure trailer organization, housekeeping, maintenance and safety."
• Drive adherence to safety rules and regulate outbound picking, sorting and loading.
• Monitor budget and drive cost-saving improvements and process efficiency.
• Lead warehouse associates, promote engagement and empower problem-solving.
• Resolve shipping errors with DC management and prevent recurrence.
• Schedule team hours for peak periods and efficiency.
• Protect assets; ensure equipment use, nightly checks and receipts for shipments.
• Lead efficient processing of outbound orders, cross/docks, stock and special orders."
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and implement process improvements to boost efficiency.
• Foster engagement and mentor team members to enable sound operational decisions.
• Oversee nightly reconciliation of truck loads for correct loading."
• Design and implement shuttle truck order protocols and loading procedures.
• Ensure compliance with factory returns guidelines by the team.
