Directly responsible for opening/closing the restaurant and assuring all staff arrives for shifts on time, in uniform.**Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities**:* Execute all food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces, in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.* Efficiently cook and assemble a variety of menu items—including breakfast and lunch—on a cooking line. Must be proficient with a variety of cooking methods like grilling, frying, etc.* Ensure all dishes are consistently prepared to meet standards for quality and visual presentation.* Operate all kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.* Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and cleaning procedures.* Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation always, to ensure smooth and efficient service.* Monitor inventory levels and assist with purchasing.**Secondary Responsibilities**:* Must become knowledgeable of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities, services and activities.* Shovel Snow* Other duties as assigned**Specific Job Skills**:License/Certifications- Idaho Food Safety Certification (training provided)Technical- Cooking Skills/Basic kitchen skillsPhysical Capabilities- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
