Job summary

Schweitzer in Sandpoint, Idaho, seeks a Front of House Lead for the Outback restaurant to oversee daily FOH operations, ensure smooth opening and closing, staff readiness and guest satisfaction. The FOH Lead works with the Outback Manager to maintain high standards of service, cleanliness and compliance while supervising FOH staff, handling inventories, reports and end‑of‑shift tasks.

Compensation is $16.00–$18.00 per hour plus tips.

Qualifications

• Idaho Food Safety Certification required.
• Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Certificate required (training provided).
• Minimum education: English reading, writing and communication; basic math.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the restaurant following established procedures.
• Ensure FOH staff arrive on time, in uniform, and prepared for shifts.
• Monitor and support FOH staff during service to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Assist the Outback Manager in coaching FOH staff performance.
• Ensure end-of-shift duties, reports and bank drops are completed.
• Oversee ordering and monthly inventory of FOH items.
• Maintain product storage and rotation; address guest concerns promptly.
• Uphold health codes and FOH compliance; supervise food handling and sanitation.

This role ensures smooth opening and closing procedures, staff readiness, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence. The FOH Lead works closely with the Outback Manager to maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and compliance.**Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities**:* Open and close the restaurant following established procedures.* Ensure all FOH staff arrive on time, in uniform, and prepared for their shifts.* Monitor and support FOH staff throughout service to maintain quality and efficiency.* Assist the Outback Manager in coaching and correcting FOH staff performance.* Ensure completion of end-of-shift duties, including accurate reports and bank drops.* Responsible for ordering FOH products and supplies. Maintain monthly inventory of FOH items and ensure proper stock levels.* Oversee product presentation and storage, ensuring proper rotation and handling.* Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.* Monitor service quality and cleanliness throughout the shift.* Maintain knowledge of health codes and ensure FOH compliance.* Oversee food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.**Secondary Responsibilities**:* Shovel snow* Clean outlet and assist BOH when needed* Other duties as assigned**Specific Job Skills**:License/Certifications- Idaho Food Safety Certification and Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Certificate (training provided).Technical- Computer skills Physical Capabilities- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
