Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an experienced Operational Technology (OT) Cyber Defense Specialist to join the Cyber Security Operations Center.

The role focuses on protecting Dow's manufacturing environment across multiple sites by detecting, investigating and responding to OT cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have deep OT/ICS expertise, strong incident response skills, and the ability to translate complex technical risks into clear guidance for engineering and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience at or above a U.S. E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant, or 5 years relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant OT/ICS cybersecurity experience.
• Deep knowledge of OT and IC technologies, including process control systems, DCS, PLC, SCADA environments, industrial networks, and manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of OT attack surfaces, risk vectors, and cyber threats affecting industrial environments.
• Experience with security operations, incident response, threat hunting, forensic investigations, or cybersecurity monitoring is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a team SME for OT, guiding on industrial control systems, OT networks, and associated cyber risks.
• Lead development of OT-focused detection use cases, analytics, and monitoring using MITRE ATT&CK for ICs.
• Conduct advanced investigations of security events affecting OT and enterprise environments; threat hunting, forensics, root cause determination, and response coordination.
• Evaluate emerging threats and translate intelligence into actionable defensive capabilities.
• Develop and maintain detection content, playbooks, and response procedures for OT monitoring and incident response.
• Contribute to cross-functional cybersecurity projects to improve overall OT security posture.
• Provide mentorship to analysts to develop OT expertise within CSOC.
