Job summary

Estes Express Lines in Memphis, TN seeks an OS&D Clerk to investigate and resolve overages, shortages, and damaged freight, including Hazmat. You will work with Service Center Operations, Safety, Compliance, and Customer Care to ensure accurate freight handling.

Responsibilities include identifying high-value shortages, tracking shipments, maintaining records, preparing paperwork, and responding to customer queries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Knowledge of general LTL operations; OS&D experience preferred.
• Willing to wear boots/safety footwear.
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
• AS400 experience strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve overages, shortages, and damaged freight issues, including Hazmat.
• Identify freight for high value shortages and determine shipment/PRO.
• Work with Service Center Operations, OS&D/Customer Care, Safety, Compliance & Field Support, Security & Corporate Operations.
• Assist with resolving customer queries regarding shipping orders, pricing etc.
• Maintain count list of items received or shipped and record discrepancies.
• Prepare paperwork and repack OS&D freight.
• Maintain records to report OS&D freight issues daily or weekly to management.
• Review and address freight issues as assigned by service center management.
• Maintain a clean OS&D area and monitor related emails.
• Utilize software such as EDock, Customer Portals, Pega.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff.
