Texas Orthopedics in Austin seeks a proactive Surgery Scheduler/Triage to coordinate pre-op activities, schedule surgeries and imaging, and ensure smooth clinical workflows across locations. You will track authorizations, manage documentation, and communicate with patients, providers, and payers to support timely care.

The ideal candidate has at least two years as a medical assistant, CMA preferred, strong computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Competenze

• Two years as a medical assistant with hospital, home health, or office experience; orthopedics preferred.
• Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA) preferred.
• Knowledge of computer systems and medical terminology.

Mansioni

• Receive, document, and handle in-coming calls.
• Schedule surgeries, MRI, CT scans, pre-op and post-op visits.
• Submit medical records and obtain necessary pre-authorization.
• Assist with insurance clearance and authorization processes.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of authorizations and dates.
• Coordinate training and review surgeon preferences with team.
• Track adverse events and postoperative outcomes.
