Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant for the Orthopedic/Spine unit at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ. This 30-bed unit requires care for medical, surgical, orthopedic, and trauma patients in a fast-paced environment with a strong team.

The role includes 6am-6:30pm shifts with rotating weekends and holidays and a night differential where applicable. As a Med/Surg PCA you will provide routine patient care, document in EMR, and support unit operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Collect vital signs and document in medical records.
• Report changes in patient condition to licensed staff.
• Perform procedures as delegated and maintain supplies.
• Support reception/clerical duties and patient flow.
