Job summary

Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, AZ is seeking a dedicated CNA/PCA to join our 28-bed Ortho Med Surg unit on the Day shift (6:00am–6:30pm). You will care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries and post-surgical needs, including hip fractures and joint replacements.

This role offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus for licensed CNAs or LNAs, a supportive team, and opportunities for learning and career growth as you contribute to high-quality patient care and a smooth unit operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current CNA (LNA) in state of practice is required for new hires.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience; preferably in hospital or physician office setting, or prior customer service.
• Excellent organizational skills, as well as effective human relations and communication skills. Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine patient care to promote patient health and comfort; contributes to the overall patient plan of care.
• Collects patient data including vital signs, input/output, and other delegated measurements; documents in medical records.
• Communicates patient status to other caregivers to ensure continuity of care.
• Performs procedures and uses equipment under supervision; assists with OP/ inpatient procedures as needed.
• Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support unit operations and communications.
• Maintains complete patient records and ensures chart forms are accessible.
• Manages supplies, equipment, and unit turnover; assists with transport as needed.
• Supports patient transport and OR turnover as assigned.
• Works under supervision in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service.

Education
