Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for a Part Time Night shift (6pm–6:30am) in the Progressive Care Unit. The role supports routine patient care, data collection, and coordination with licensed professionals to ensure quality care on a busy unit.

Preferred candidates have PCA/LNA/CNA experience, current BLS, and strong organizational and communication skills. The position includes weekend/holiday rotations and a night differential where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Computer literacy and keyboarding skills required.
• 12 months Banner experience in the role recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities to promote patient health.
• Collect vital signs and other data; document in medical records.
• Report abnormalities to licensed staff and communicate status to care team.
• Provide supplies, transport specimens, and assist with procedures as directed.
• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to support unit operations.
