Job summary

Florida Orthopaedic Associates is seeking an Onsite Patient Scheduling Representative in Orange City to verify benefits, schedule patients, and document referrals in a high-volume clinic.

You will coordinate with insurance providers and Authorization to ensure accurate co-pays, referrals, and smooth appointment flows, while delivering excellent patient service in a team-focused setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2+ years in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and handle high call volumes.
• Experience with scheduling/registration and benefits verification preferred.
• Working knowledge of Windows and typing skills.
• Orthopaedics or high-volume practice experience preferred.
• Knowledge of scheduling systems.
• Prior experience assisting with orthopedic procedures such as injections or suture removal.

Responsibilities

• Verify benefits and collect co-pay at time of service, file claims to correct address.
• Schedule patients for physicians according to patient need in a call center.
• Contact insurers to obtain coverage dates, types, co-pay, referrals.
• Document benefit information accurately in the system.
• Coordinate referrals with Authorization team.
• Use scheduling platforms to access patient records and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies.
• Answer calls efficiently and schedule appointments.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
