Job summary

AdventHealth in Port Orange, FL is seeking a Patient Scheduler to manage registration and scheduling for outpatient services. You will coordinate with registration and ancillary departments to ensure accurate data capture and smooth throughput.

The role requires strong clerical skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to prioritize workload. Training provided; PRN schedule with day shifts in a hospital setting; BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in a medical setting with coding, charge entry and payment collection.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the registration and scheduling process for patients.
• Communicates with registration and ancillary departments to ensure accurate capture and throughput.
• Schedules patient appointments for outpatient clinics and records necessary information.
• Notifies physicians offices of possible non-covered appointments.
• Precertification for outpatient clinics and data entry for appointments.
