Florida Orthopaedic Institute is seeking a Patient Access Supervisor to lead scheduling, insurance verification, and authorization teams. This role supports the Patient Access Manager and ensures smooth, timely processing of all patient visits from scheduling through financial clearance.

The supervisor will monitor staff productivity, conduct evaluations, and coordinate cross-team efforts to resolve escalated issues. Some remote work may be available within the department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• 3+ years in healthcare experience.
• Registration experience in scheduling, insurance verification and authorization.
• Must be multi-tasked, organized and self-motivated.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Remote work possibilities are available.

Responsabilités

• Oversees all aspects of Benefit/Authorization or Scheduling staff and reports to Patient Access Managers.
• Coordinates daily efforts between supervisors and staff across responsibilities.
• Acts as SME for systems, policies and SOPs in the area of expertise.
• Monitors daily and monthly staff productivity; prepares statistical reports.
• Ensures proper staff coverage by approving PTO and correcting timecards.
• Conducts staff evaluations (30/60/90 and annual) and counsels staff as needed.
• Ensures staff attendance, lunches, breaks, and adherence to goals.
• Keeps patients and clinic staff informed of delays due to scheduling or authorization issues.
• Maintains FOI policies and communicates issues to the Patient Access Manager.
• Coordinates staff training and ensures ongoing retraining.
• Orders supplies and signs off training checklists for new staff.
