Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior healthcare scheduling experience preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulations.
• Certifications in medical administration or scheduling software are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient appointment schedules including booking, rescheduling, and cancellations.
• Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and eligibility prior to scheduling.
• Maintain accurate records in scheduling system or EMR.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure appointment availability and resolve conflicts.
• Provide courteous assistance to patients regarding appointments, policies, and procedures.
• Send and monitor appointment reminders and follow-ups.
• Uphold HIPAA confidentiality when handling patient information.
