Job summary

Arlington Orthopedics Associates is seeking a Patient Appointment Scheduler in Arlington, TX to manage and optimize the office's appointment flow. You will be the first point of contact for patients, booking, confirming, and rescheduling consultations, procedures, and follow-ups.

The role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, familiarity with EMR systems, and a patient-centered approach within a fast-paced orthopedic clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in healthcare scheduling, preferably in an orthopedic or clinical setting.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulations.
• Additional certifications in medical administration or scheduling software are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate patient appointment schedules, including booking, rescheduling, and cancellations.
• Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and eligibility prior to scheduling.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions in the office’s scheduling system or EMR.
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure appointment availability and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Provide courteous and efficient assistance to patients, answering inquiries regarding appointments, office policies, and procedures.
• Monitor appointment reminders and follow-up communications with patients to confirm scheduled visits.
• Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.
