Job summary

Orthodontic Experts Ltd in Chicago is seeking a Treatment Coordinator to support patients through their orthodontic journey. You will communicate treatment plans, answer questions, and help patients schedule and arrange payments.

You’ll conduct financial consultations, educate patients on benefits and financing options, manage accounts and coordinate with external financing partners. This full-time on-site role includes patient greeting, chart updates, and assisting the orthodontist during

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• 3 years of customer service experience.
• 2 years of sales experience.
• 1 year of Treatment Coordinating experience.
• Knowledge of medical terms and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
• Excellent problem solving and de-escalation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 6 months to 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to understand their history, concerns and objectives.
• Explain treatment plans and address patient questions.
• Assist in prioritizing treatment and scheduling and payment arrangements.
• Conduct financial consultations with all new patients and with existing patients when new treatment plans are presented.
• Manage payment options and policies for patients.
• Educate patients on dental benefits and financing options.
• Track accounts receivable and outstanding balances.
• Assist orthodontist during procedures and dental work.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Participate in Marketing events.
• Handle cash transactions.
• Answer incoming calls for appointments, records requests, emergencies, and follow-ups.
• Travel to other clinics and perform duties as needed.
• Maintain a clean/sanitized clinic/office area.
