Job summary

Ascension in Austin, TX is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator for surgeon appointments and OR logistics. You will work with physicians to gather data needed to schedule surgeries, assign suites, block times, and ensure accurate demographic and billing information in EMR to prevent delays.

This role supports efficient operations by coordinating with Admitting, handling emergencies, and aligning resources with department guidelines. Day shift, Monday–Friday, on-site at Seton Northwest.

Qualifications

• Coordinates with physician offices to schedule surgeries per department guidelines.
• Assigns operating suites and blocks times to maximize resource use.
• Enters demographic, billing and insurance data into EMR and coordinates with Patient Admitting to prevent delays.
• May reschedule surgeries to accommodate emergencies.
