Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate surgical procedures with providers and staff.
• Create and send surgical orders; obtain insurance authorizations promptly.
• Serve as primary contact for patients regarding scheduling and pre-operative instructions.
• Answer phones, respond to messages, and ensure clear communication with patients and staff.
• Coordinate with vendors and surgery representatives for equipment and supplies.
• Verify insurance eligibility and pre-certifications for procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Athena EHR and keep records up to date.
• Manage scheduling conflicts professionally and efficiently.
• Complete assigned administrative tasks in a timely manner.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA and policies.
