Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage the patient experience with warmth and confidentiality.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance, and referrals/pre-authorizations as needed.
• Process payments and deposits accurately and securely.
• Coordinate communications with coworkers, providers, and departments.
• Check out patients, schedule follow-ups, and handle reminders and cancellations.
• Answer phones promptly and route calls to appropriate staff.
• Schedule new, follow-up, and walk-in appointments per guidelines.
• Sort and distribute mail/faxes daily per guidelines.
• Prepare orders and select documents for scanning, following HIPAA rules.
• Coordinate physician schedules and reschedule as needed to meet patient and practice needs.
• Assist with leadership tasks and process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Provide interpreter services when approved and translate brief provider instructions.
