Job summary

John H. Carter Company is seeking an Inside Sales/Order Processor to handle customer correspondence, enter purchase orders, expediting, and provide timely order status updates.

The role requires learning multiple software programs, following detailed processes, ensuring invoicing aligns with shipped orders, and maintaining a positive backlog. Regular attendance and teamwork are essential. 2+ years in inside sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive correspondence from customers and vendors and respond promptly.
• Enter purchase orders and delivery expediting; communicate order status.
• Learn multiple software programs and follow detailed processes.
• Ensure all shipped orders invoiced and remove invoicing constraints as needed.
• Ensure customer requirements are followed.
• Work with production and inside sales to meet delivery.
• Maintain accurate backlog and shipped-not-invoiced report.
• Support accounting with problem invoices, returns, and customer information.
• Uphold Total Customer Commitment standards at all times.
• Attend required trainings.
• Procure product and product information for customers and Inside Sales.
• Be a team player and work well in a group.
• Accurately process sales, purchase orders, and invoicing.
• Maintain urgency and accuracy under pressure; multi-task as needed.

Job description

• Receive correspondence from external and internal customers which must be handled on a timely basis.
  
  
  
  • Task will include entering purchase orders, delivery expediting, communicating with the customer and/or vendor the status of orders.

• Work with production and inside sales to ensure delivery is met.


• Accountable for an accurate backlog and shipped not invoiced report.


• Support JHC accounting department with problem invoices, returns, and general customer account information.


• Understand and ensure that the JHC TCC (Total Customer Commitment) standards are upheld at all times


• Attend and participate in required trainings


• Procure product and product information for customers and Inside Sales.


• Be a team player, and work well as group


• Accurately process and manage sales, purchase orders, and invoicing.


• This job is demanding in terms of knowledge skills, commitment, and all other job-related qualifications. Urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results are routine. Multi-tasking and the ability to handle and manage interruptions is expected.


• Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.
