Job summary

John H. Carter Company is seeking a customer service and order support specialist to respond promptly to inquiries, prepare quotes, process orders, finalize pricing, and generate invoices.

You will coordinate with Production, Outside Sales, Project Management, and Customer Service to ensure smooth operations. The role includes researching repair parts, managing open orders, and participating in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Education required: High School or better.
• Additional education: Community College/Vo-Tech or better.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to correspondence from both internal and external customers, ensuring timely handling of inquiries and requests.
• Provide quotes, execute orders, finalize pricing, and generate invoices.
• Manage open order dates and the scope of work.
• Communicate clearly across divisions (Production, Outside Sales, Project Management, Customer Service).
• Research and identify necessary repair parts to resolve issues promptly.
• Join after-hours/weekend On-Call rotation as needed to support operations.

• This job is demanding in terms of knowledge, skills, commitment, and all other job-related qualifications. Urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results are routine. Multi-tasking and the ability to handle and manage interruptions is expected.
• Availability for overtime and after-hours work may be required, particularly during peak outage season.
• Ensure that all interactions and processes always align with JHC Total Customer Commitment (TCC) standards.
• Participate in required training sessions to stay current with industry best practices and company policies.
• Join the after-hours and weekend “On-Call” rotation as needed to support operations outside regular hours.
• Foster and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with both customers and internal teams.
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.
