Job summary

John H. Carter Company in Metairie, LA is seeking an Inside Sales Application Engineer focused on Flow Control to handle customer inquiries, assist with product selection, sizing and assembly, and align efforts with production teams.

You will support the product principals, participate in trainings, and manage quotes, orders, and customer accounts while maintaining JHC's Total Customer Commitment standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or better in Engineering or related field.
• High School or better.
• Minimum 2+ years of Inside Sales experience.
• Experience with other industrial instrumentation/equipment sold into chemical, petro-chemical, refining and oil & gas industries will be considered.
• Preferred in industrial equipment environment – Fisher Control Valves & Fisher Regulators.

Responsibilities

• Receive correspondence from external and internal customers which must be handled on a timely basis.
• Facilitate customer application requirements for their product selection, sizing, and assembly.
• Ensure that inside efforts are aligned with the production team.
• Support JHC accounting department with problem invoices, returns, and general customer account information.
• Understand and ensure that the JHC TCC (Total Customer Commitment) standards are upheld at all times.
• Work closely with and support the JHC product principals when required to do so.
• Attend and participate in required trainings.
• Participate in the after hour and weekend ‘On-Call’ rotation.
• Procure product and product information for customers.
• Be a team player, and work well as group.
• Accurately complete quotes, order entry, and purchase orders.
• Always build and cultivate solid relationships.
• This job is demanding in terms of knowledge skills, commitment, and all other job-related qualifications. Urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results are routine.
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.

  • Task will include RFQ’s, technical assistance/support, factory support, technical product support, delivery expediting,
• Facilitate customer application requirements for their product selection, sizing, and assembly
• Ensure that inside efforts are aligned with the production team
