Job summary

TriStar Summit Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking an OR Nurse to support perioperative care and patient safety in a collaborative healthcare environment. You will evaluate patients pre- and post-operatively, educate families, assist with anesthesia readiness, and participate in universal protocols and team rounds.

Strong clinical judgment and teamwork are essential. Self-scheduling, on-call during select non-business hours, and a comprehensive benefits package are available to eligible

Qualifications

RN licensed or eligible to practice as a Registered Nurse.
Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients prior to surgery and coordinate perioperative care.
Provide patient and family education regarding procedures and the perioperative process.
Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative medications, and verify surgical site.
Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
Respond to patient emergencies with high-quality, patient-centered care.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support safe nursing care.
