Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN is hiring an Operating Room Nurse to join our OR Tower team. You will contribute to patient care pre-, intra-, and post-operatively and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff.

The role requires RN licensure, an associate or baccalaureate degree, and circulating experience; BLS within 30 days. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive, team-focused culture.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing
• Associate or Bachelor degree in nursing
• Circulating experience required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including IV therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, timeout, debriefing, and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices and continuous improvement.
