Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to evaluate patients pre-surgery, educate families, and prepare patients with IV therapy and preoperative medications. You will participate in briefing, time-out, debriefing, and universal protocols, while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• RN required and registered by state
• Experience in operating room/circulating role preferred
• Ability to follow hospital policies and patient safety protocols

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education regarding procedures and perioperative care
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative meds
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols
• Respond to patient emergencies and deliver high-quality, evidence-based care
• Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and OR technicians to optimize workflow
