Job summary

TriStar Summit Medical Center in Nashville, TN, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the operating room team. You will evaluate patients pre‑operatively, educate families, and assist with IV therapy and medications, while upholding safety protocols and evidence‑based practices.

You will work within a dynamic interdisciplinary team, participating in site briefings, timeouts, and debriefings, with on‑call duties during select non‑business hours.

Qualifications

• RN, Registered Nurse licensure is required.
• BCLS/CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Previous circulating experience in the OR is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery and prepare them for the procedure.
• Provide patient and family education about perioperative processes.
• Assist with preoperative medications and intravenous therapy as needed.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocol compliance.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies; deliver high‑quality nursing care.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe workflow and patient care.
